HISTORY OF NERVE TISSUE

要旨
The nervous system is the body's most important regulatory apparatus, maintaining homeostasis through subtle mechanisms of chemical communication. With our modern understanding of tissue biology, histological analysis of endocrine glands goes beyond classical descriptions, shifting toward the study of molecular-morphological correlations and mechanisms of intercellular interactions. Understanding the structural organization of endocrine organs is the foundation for diagnosing pathological conditions and developing targeted therapies.
Nervous tissue is a highly specialized system consisting of two main cell types: neurons ( neurons ) and neuroglia . The tissue's primary feature is its ability to excitate and conduct impulses, which is realized through complex chains of synaptic contacts.
Nervous tissue histology is an important branch of morphology that studies the microscopic structure, cellular composition, and functional characteristics of the nervous system. Nervous tissue perceives, transmits, and processes nerve impulses, playing a key role in the regulation and coordination of all bodily functions. This paper examines the main structural components of nervous tissue—neurons and neuroglial cells—as well as their morphological features, classification, and functional significance. Particular attention is paid to the structure of the neuron, its processes (dendrites and axons), and various types of glial cells, including astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and microglia. The organization of gray and white matter is described, as well as the structure and role of synapses in nerve impulse transmission. Modern methods for the histological examination of nervous tissue, including light and electron microscopy, are discussed. The data obtained highlight the close relationship between the structure of nervous tissue and its functions, which is important for understanding the pathogenesis of neurological diseases and developing effective diagnostic and treatment methods.
